Welcome to a world of traditionally flavoured culinary delights which have always been a speciality meal or snack enjoyed by various tribes of our planet.
Many centuries ago, in an effort to dominate the spice trade, a few of these tribes which originated from Europe, set sail and discovered a new route to the east via the coastal boundries of Africa. They chose the tip of Africa as a stop over port and formed a settlement, now known as Cape Town. Eventually this port was populated along with the indigenous people of the area by traders and workers from as far a field as Europe, Asia, and the far East.
With them they brought there knowledge of vaious curing,
cooking and flavouring techniques. In time, they ventured
further north and west into the the hartland which now
include South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
Over the last 500 years a unique blend of recipe's were
developed to create a universal menu as cultureally diverse
as the people/TRIBES of these Countries.
Some of these tasty treats have already been made famous through travel and integration of re-settlements. Others may be less well known due to the late migration of tribes less travelled.
At TRIBE we aim to re-create as many of these nutritious favourites, so now you too can enjoy these aromatic and mouth-watering foods and snacks. An easy and perfect way to impress on those special occasions or family barbeques.
